Just across the Bow range from Lake Louise and Banff lies the jewel of Lake O'Hara, famous for its connection with the Canadian 7 group of painters. Painting this in September I worked between flurries of snow in the freezing cold, retreating frequently to the lodge to defrost by the stove.
