Still waters reflect the fleeting presence of the sun on a cold autumnal morning on Rannoch Moor. Loch Ba is the largest body of water on this boggy highland plateau, encircled by some of the most famous mountainous views in the country. Although it has a remote feel, the A82 trunk road is only a few hundred metres to the west. Just after dawn, with no distractions to spoil the tranquillity, it is easy to get lost in the view.
