A great success – thank you for all your support so far…

We have been moved by the kind words of support we have received even before we initiated this project. We knew then it was good idea, but had no idea whether it would work – thankfully we can report it is a great success, generating interest and tens of thousands of visitors to the website. Not bad considering the budget was nothing but a big heart.

We have spoken to the powers at be, the people who are in charge of our Natural Heritage.

We spoke to: Martin Doughty chairman for Natural England, Scottish Natural Heritage, Roger Thomas at The Countryside Council for Wales, Graham Wynne at the RSPB, Buglife, Plantlife and the Woodland Trust, Stephanie Hilborne at the Wildlife Trusts, Fiona Reynold chief executive at The National Trust, Jim Dixon at the Peak District National Park Authority, Sir Nigel Thompson, chairman of the Council to Protect Rural England…
and quite a few others for some feedback and a few words for an article for the forthcoming Living Art magazine. They all said wonderful things and this has completely buoyed us up.

Venue and sponsors announcement

Announcing venues and final for hanging The Big Picture on the 27th June 2007.
We will be organising the first show and unveiling for the end of Summer of this year.
This will certainly be somewhere prestigious, somewhere quite public to show off just how many of you have been bothered to make a statement, to show you care.

But we still need your help more than ever now…

NOT LONG NOW TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL…
So if you have logged on but not uploaded an image – now’s the time to upload an image – we only need one.
So do something now… pursuade your friends and relatives, tell everyone (please) – if this works we can do so much more, and you will be part of that too…
