Tree in fog

© Copyright Chris Tayler

This tree is at the edge of the Derwent Reservoir, near Walkers Clough. Most of theyear the water's edge is nearer the tree, but in winter the water level come further inshore, surrounding the tree. Normally you would see the landscape on the other side of the river, but on this occasiona it was almost competely obscured by the mist. The unusual conditions, with a perfect calm, made for a very interesting composition. The actual image is in portrait mode, showing more of the reflected branches.
