The gritstone brow of Baslow Edge breaks through the autumnal mists rising from the Derwent Valley in this view from Froggatt Edge. These conditions of colder, heavier air in the valley bottom and sunny warmer conditions above are known as .temperature inversion., and are quite common in the Peak at this time of year.© Peak District National Park
