Seen here 'tail slapping' as an announcement of his presence to potential suitors. Ice Berg in 'Wood Spit' This Ice Berg breoke off the glacier and floated 18 miles down a fjord to be stranded in shallow fjord entrance. Orca or Killer Whale, Orcinus orca, male and female. Prince William Sound, South west Alaska. Orcas arrive in this area every year to coincide with the movement of salmon that migrate south from the arctic waters of Chukchi Sea. © John Beatty
