White Edge Lodge, standing alone and facing the sunset, should be easy to photograph, but I have yet to find the perfect angle and sky to capture how isolated and windswept the Duke of Rutland's old shooting lodge is. The best I have managed so far is this winter afternoon.

My ambition is to new and original images that capture the essence of Peak District landscapes. But I have only taken photography seriously for a year or two and, I am discovering more and more photographers, many of them to be seen on this site, who have already taken shots of the views I love. And not only have the got there before me, their eye for composition and colour is way ahead of mine! Still it’s good to keep trying… |
