Hewitt's Bank, west of Millthorpe, Derbyshire. A grey December afternoon was lit up for a minute or two by the sun. I feel this is an effective composition - the viewer is led from the bright fence at bottom left to the hedge and tree and then off into more distant features.

My ambition is to new and original images that capture the essence of Peak District landscapes. But I have only taken photography seriously for a year or two and, I am discovering more and more photographers, many of them to be seen on this site, who have already taken shots of the views I love. And not only have the got there before me, their eye for composition and colour is way ahead of mine! Still it’s good to keep trying… |
