I live in the Hope Valley and work throughout north and mid-Derbyshire. In my spare time I take part in lots of mountain and water sports, (trekking, riding, cross-country skiing, scuba diving, sea kayaking and canoeing). I've participated in and led a range of expeditions in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. As part of these travels I have photographed a range of landscapes and people, (part of my portfolio is on this site). I have used a range of cameras including my trusty 35mm SLR & 35mm compact. In recent months I have also started to use a digital SLR and digital compact with underwater housing. I'm in my early 50s and the urge to travel is still strong; forthcoming trips are planned to Tibet, Mongolia, Morocco and to the western USA. The US trip will, hopefully, be with my son when he graduates from university and involve riding motorcyles down the Pacific coast.
