Steam Engine Boiler Awaiting Test

Steam Engine Boiler Awaiting Test

The picture defines British urban landscape that would have been at the height of the British Industrial Age. The lighting brings out the relief of texture of the boiler, and the strong shadows cast by the sun shinning through the sleepers on which the boiler is mounted.

John Bray

John Bray I live near Newport in South Wales, and am returning to photograpghy as a hobby after a 20 year or so lay off now that my children are now grown up. Things have changed a bit, but I still quite happy to plod on with my old Practika, M42 srew fittings and black & white. I find black & white timeless, in addition to the inherent emotion, textures and patterns etc. you look for in the medium, plus the enjoyment of the darkroom. My other main interest is playing in a brass band which hopefully should provide plenty of subject matter.
