Rough Seas at Southwold

Rough Seas at Southwold

© Copyright Garry Platt

The amber coast of Britain with Southwold at its centre is prone to rough seas. It is after such ferocious storms that amber is torn from the sea bed and thrown up onto the beach where it is eagerly searched for a collected.

Garry Platt

Garry Platt I enjoy photography as both a hobby and as a kind of personal discipline. ‘Seeing’ a photograph before you even lift the camera to your eye is the real art, for me at least. Anyone can snap a picture but I want to catch more and it’s a struggle to achieve this. A lot of the time I fail and return home disappointed, but occasionally my little skill and the situation collide and I capture something which I know is special. That’s why I practise photography, for those special moments.
