Exhibiting Members : Garry Platt

I enjoy photography as both a hobby and as a kind of personal discipline. ‘Seeing’ a photograph before you even lift the camera to your eye is the real art, for me at least. Anyone can snap a picture but I want to catch more and it’s a struggle to achieve this. A lot of the time I fail and return home disappointed, but occasionally my little skill and the situation collide and I capture something which I know is special. That’s why I practise photography, for those special moments.
