| I've enjoyed walking up mountains and taking pictures since I was a teenager. More recently I've become more serious about photography, begun to climb some of the easier mountain routes and wander further afield to places like the alps, new zealand, south america and the himalayas - with a better camera than I had back then!
I now shoot digitally and that has helped the learning process enormously, and am beginning to build up a portfolio that I hope will soon allow me to earn a living from combining the two things I enjoy most - being outdoors (preferably on mountains or coasts) and photography.
My website www.peakimages.co.uk is still very much under construction at the moment - but there are a few extra images up there as well as the ones on this site.
I print mostly in colour at present. Partly this is because I don't feel black and white inkjet printing is quite there yet, and partly its to enable me to express the coldness of the snowy/glacial environment or the glowing warmth of the sunlit landscape in my images. |
