Bill Bevan is an archaeologist, writer, photographer and one-time DJ. He has also worked as a tour guide at Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, Grasmere and excavated in central France. Bill is author of The Upper Derwent: 10,000 years in a Peak District valley, has regularly appeared on Radio 4 and was a consultant to BBC 2's "Timeflyers". His next book is a pictorial guide to Peak District archaeology called Exploring Ancient Peakland which is due to be published in May 2007 by Halsgrove.
