Exhibiting Members : Andyfellwalker

Andy Wallace was born in Manchester and has spent most of his life in the area. He started walking in 1997, but after his first short walk through Skelghyll Woods he was hooked and has been walking in the Lake District at least once a week, every week, ever since. He lives in St. Helens, - "In summer I can get to Wasdale Head and back in a day either side of an eight hour walk, at other times of the year I have to make shorter trips with shorter walks".He first started recording the details of his walks after meeting Peter Burgess, the founder of the Online Fellwalking Club, while walking near Pillar Rock. Peter asked if he would post a description of his walk on the fellwalking club site, he did and found that he enjoyed writing about walking as much as actually doing it!In June 2002 he got his first digital camera and this added another aspect to his enjoyment of the Lake District. Having accumulated lots of words and pictures about his walks he decided to create a web site with the theme of sharing the fell walking experience; in September of that year Andyfellwalker was born. Andy now spends most weekends walking in Cumbria’s Lake District with regular visits across the border to Scotland and Wales and other parts of England to walk with other.Photographs of English Lake District http://www.andyfellwalker.com/thealbums.htmPhotographs of other areas http://www.andyfellwalker.com/notlakes.htmlPhotographs of Cumbria towns and villages http://www.andyfellwalker.com/cdarchive.htm
