As part of the Big Picture of Natural Britain, Living Art is running the Big Picture Competition. Not only will you be part of a revolutionary project but you'll also have the chance to win £500 to spend on photographic equipment*.

One image from each person that enters the Big Picture will be selected to appear on a giant aerial map of Britain and Ireland. Once completed, this huge mosaic map will go on display at prominent locations across the UK. Read more about the Big Picture of Natural Britain...

How to enter...
To become part of the Big Picture you need to sign up (for free) as a Living Art Exhibiting Member. You will then be able to submit images to the Big Picture Competition.
There are 4 categories to enter (Landscape, Flora, Fauna, and People in the Landscape), each of which is broken down into more specific sub-categories.

How it works...
Judging of the competition is broken down into three stages: Sub-Category Winners, Category Title Winners and Overall Big Picture Winner.

Sub-Category
All images submitted to the Big Picture will go into an appropriate sub-category. Those images will then be voted for by other Living Art members and the image with the most votes will go forward for the chance to be crowned Category Title Winner.
Category Title
The four Category Title Winners (Landscape, Flora, Fauna, and People in the Landscape) will be voted for by Living Art judges, from the images of the overall sub-category winners within each section. Category winners will receive a giant printed canvas of their winning image and will go forward for the chance of winning the overall Big Picture prize.


Overall Winner
The overall winner will be chosen by the Living Art judges and will receive £500 of vouchers to spend on Lowepro and Manfrotto photographic equipment online or in-store at Harrison Cameras, Sheffield.

What we are looking for...
Your images need to be an interesting, unusual, beautiful or significant subject from our list of categories, comprising the British natural landscape, flora, fauna and people who use the landscape.

Images can be your interpretation of that landscape/flora/fauna, ranging from macro, more 'abstract' shots that focus on the close detail or texture of a subject, to a more traditional wide-angled shot.
