The natural world has always held a great interest and fascination for me. Going back to a very young age I remember being very concerned for the environment and this led me to a degree in environmental science.
I love getting close to nature and now work for local government in a role that combines environmental events and education with improving countryside access. I also work as an expedition supervisor for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. Luckily for me, my work involves a large proportion of getting out into the Countryside and encouraging others to do the same.
I would like to see everyone re-discovering the diminishing connection with nature, and art is an excellent way of encouraging people to get outside and be inspired!
