Sacred Arts

Hello, my name is Jonathan Drury and I live in Sheffield near the border with the Peak District. I work with nature as an expression of unity and universal principles (symmetry, unity, harmony and beauty) found in many sacred cultures and expressed in their visual arts. With a holistic, person centred approach, I facilitate these principles as human values, working in schools, business environments and one-to-one.

By observing and working with sacred art and nature clients / learners are prompted to recall our own true nature, cultural roots and shared humanity.

The contemporary application of ancient, universal principles is fully customisable and can be made as fun or as serious as required. There is always emphasis on sensitivity and empathy.

Suitable for Private individuals, businesses and schools (Upper KS2 and KS3 (Citizenship; RE; History etc). Half day inset for teachers also available.

Please contact me for more details.

Biography

My main interests lie in the sacred arts and spiritual traditions and what their intrinsic perennial philosophies, can teach us about nature and the Self.

With a background in personal development (counselling and mediation) and freelance creativity (film and music production) spanning over twenty years, I've discovered how principles found in sacred art can complement today’s methods of promoting empathy, cohesion and tolerance.

I have managed gallery education projects and continue to paint and design using all mediums.
