Paul Dyson

The beautiful local countryside around Farnsfield in Nottinghamshire was the natural backcloth from which artist Paul Dyson drew his inspiration for his interest in Wildlife & Wilderness.

He studied Art & Design at the Mansfield College of Art, taking up a career in Graphic Design and finally took the plunge to work full time on his Wildlife and Wildnerness paintings. Inspired by wilderness areas, Paul strives to capture the atmosphere of the environment and the beauty of the wildlife through his favoured medium of watercolour enhanced with gouache, which allows him to achieve the finest detail. Meticulous observation and reasearch have always been a priority taking him to many beautiful and remote areas of the world from Iceland, the Andes, Canadian Rockies, USA and 20,000 feet in the Himalayas.

Paul has already received considerable public recognition through exhibitions nationally and has won numerous awards.

Through his work he contributes towards many various wildlife and environmental charities.
