Description
Stalks of grass embedded in crystalline ice, Coire Mhic Fearchair, Triple Buttresses mountain feature behind, Beinn Eighe NNR, Torridon, Scotland. This ice has been caused by wind-blown spray from a small lake/loch nearby freezing in sub-zero temperatures. Beinn National Nature Reserve was the first NNR created in the UK, in 1951.
