Jim Curran studied Fine Art at Ealing School of Art and Manchester College of Art. For many years he was a Senior Lecturer in Foundation Studies at the University of the West of England. Although he is best known for his award-winning films and books, drawing, particularly through teaching, has always been at the core of his creative life. His paintings are a distillation of memory, photography, drawing and observation of the wild and remote landscapes of the world.
